A haiku is a
Poem which is just for you to
Read in a mumu
Here is little River, he is my traveling buddy, I’m currently living with my aunt and uncle at their ranch house. For me, they are like my elders. Sometimes, when life hits you with circumstance, you hit back with common sense and return to what matters most in your life.
I’m hoping you all had a great St. Paddy’s day, I know I did. My cousin created a lucky corned beef and my other cousin made some authentic cabbage rolls. We feasted and drank like kings and queens and princes and princesses for one day of the year!
I’m hoping that some of you are willing to put yourself out there for Issue 2 of Mouths. Submission season is in bloom, the poems are popping up all over the place and I’m hopeful that the harvest will bring great content for our readership.
Be brave and submit! All you have to do is head over to the submission tab and follow the directions, the worst thing that can happen: we can say no, so I my opinion, you should take a leap of faith because the reward is mightier then the risk.
In other good news: I’ve published Little Palace Bigger Face on my personal site. It’s a free downloadable PDF so if you are curious, click this link and head to publications.
Writer tip: Try a new experience today, for tomorrow their will be a greater challenge.
As always, leaving you all with poetry:
For my Love
I write you letters
Which come from my heart
Broken place of fear
That I’ve lost what we built
Because of the flood
Waters were too much for
Us and we drown ever so
Slowly and now we drift
Far from each other
Another in the way
Who is only named
